Every lesson will include aural skills, technical exercises/scale studies, sight-reading and study pieces from the very start. Both my sons take lessons with the Music development team. My eldest is learning electric guitar and has progressed from debut to grade 2 exam. My youngest has just passed his grade 1 piano exam. Both boys enjoy their lessons and are comfortable with their tutors I’ve found all the team to be very professional. Pricing is reasonable and lesson time fixed weekly. Throughout the pandemic as with all businesses the team transferred all lessons online seamlessly and my boys have continued to learn via zoom. The end of term concerts are also a great way to for your child to gain confidence and show how they have progressed whilst being accompanied by excellent musicians.

Recently finished attending my lessons here after passing grade 8. Quality of lessons are of a high standard, as well as entertaining and fun, and felt extremely well-prepared for all of the grades that I did. Pricing is fairly reasonable as is the flexibility of the lessons.

Both of my boys are progressing well with the guitar thanks to Alex. He’s patient and makes sure the lessons and songs are at the right level to build confidence. I like that he takes the time to ask about the music they would be interested in learning to play once they’ve mastered the basics. I have no hesitation in recommending The Music Development.

Very good shop, friendly knowledgeable staff and a very good price. They also do lessons in there which I would take up if I didn’t have a friend already teaching me.

I gave a bad review at first but I didn’t take into consideration the covid effect so having been in touch with rimmers music team all is fine and I am expecting my new guitar tomorrow. They have been very helpful and I posted the review in haste so thumbs up for rimmers music

What a great shop with helpful staff. Special thanks to Adam. I went to purchase a keyboard and was very impressed with the display range of them (guitars and drum kits too). I didn’t feel pressured by the staff. Of course I was shown different and slightly more expensive ones but he then backed away and let me play them to my hearts content and decide myself. It was worth it though as I decided on a model (still in my price range) I hadn’t seen during my research prior to visiting and am very happy with it.
I would highly recommend.
